Iron Peak Roofing was founded out of frustration — and a conviction that roofing could be done better.

As investors and realtors operating in Shreveport, Bossier, and surrounding areas for years, we repeatedly encountered the same problem: wide swings in pricing, inconsistent scopes, and very little transparency in how decisions were made.

We discovered that many roofing companies in the area were using the same subcontractors — yet bids varied dramatically. The numbers often seemed based more on mood than math.

We believed there was a better way.

Iron Peak Roofing was built on a simple principle:

Why We Started Iron Peak Roofing

Both Steven Pracht and Kevin May come from real estate and investment backgrounds. We understand roofs not only as contractors — but as long-term assets.

We know what investors look for.
We know what homeowners expect.
We know how expensive it is when roofing work is done poorly.

Steven brings prior roofing sales experience and development oversight experience, having worked on projects far beyond just roofing systems. That background brings a broader perspective to quality control and project execution.

Iron Peak exists because we were not satisfied with the level of transparency and consistency available in the market — and we believed homeowners deserved better.

Higher standards isn’t marketing language for us.

We have been operating businesses locally since 2007, full-time since 2015. Our roots in the community are long-term.
